We have safety measures in place because your safety and health is our priority. If any dancer or family member has had respiratory symptoms, or been in contact with anyone who has had COVID-19 within 2 weeks, or any other recent illness, please do not visit the studio, as you will be asked to leave. Here is what to expect when visiting Tap Fever:
RSVP
There is a maximum number of dancers we can permit into the studio. RSVP for class either online, or via text: 858-456-7301. Please RSVP for both zoom classes, as well as in-studio classes. RSVP’d dancers will only be contacted if there is NOT enough space to accommodate them in class.
Pre-Arrival
Practice thorough hygiene before arriving at the studio. Bring only what you need to the studio. This means no extraneous personal items. Bring dance shoes and clothes needed for class, a hair tie, and a water bottle.
Screening
All dancers will line up on the wheelchair ramp; the entrance is on the left (west) side of the house. Do not use the handrail, unless it’s necessary. Parents of young dancers must accompany their child up the ramp, to the front door for screening. We have a no-contact thermometer, but temperature checks are no longer required. Instead, we ask dancers if they’ve had their vaccine.
Sanitizer
Touchless hand sanitizer is provided at the front door of the studio. Small children will be given a drop of hand sanitizer at the beginning of each class. Older kids, and adults may use the touchless system when entering the studio.
Dancing
Dancers will remain 6 feet apart at all times. Dance floor and ballet barre markers will show you where to stand during class. Doors & windows will be open during class to provide fresh air. Students should refrain from touching anything while in class (including barres), unless instructed to do so.
Waiting
Parents may wait on the west patio, where canopies and benches are provided. Please make sure to pick up your children promptly, as we’ll need time to sanitize between classes.
Staying Home?
Comfort and peace of mind are important. For those staying at home, all classes will continue to be available via live stream on ZOOM. Dancers must show their full name on the Zoom screen during every class.
Masks
According to the Mayo Clinic, new research has shown that your heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, oxygen level and time of exhaustion are not significantly affected by wearing a mask during moderate to strenuous aerobic physical activity.
Face coverings must be worn if you have recently been ill with any type of cold or other sickness. Anyone with active symptoms should not come to the studio, and instead take class via Zoom, until they are well. Also, if you are not fully vaccinated you should wear a face covering during class.
