I started taking a seniors adult tap dance class with Larisa in June via Zoom and began coming in person to the studio the end of August. What a gas!!! The music to warmup rocks my very soul with Oldies but Goodies! Larisa's instruction is clear and caters to each dancer as needed; the combinations flow and the choreography is really fun! There is also focus on history and tradition of tap - we are currently learning the Honi-Atkins Soft Shoe! And the Shim Sham - the National Anthem of Tap Dance - shimmies on thanks to its emphasis by Tap Fever! Opportunities to perform (if you so desire) are about fun and spreading the joy of tap dance! I definitely have the Tap Fever! I have to say this fever is contagious - the connections with other tap dancers is just the best! Thanks Larisa - way to tap on Tap Fever!

If I could, I'd give this studio 7 stars! The perfect studio for every body! I mean that: Every. Body. Larissa has created a welcoming studio that is about dance, fun, and fitness. I came to tap late in life, and every one of her instructors is kind and encouraging. That sets the tone for the class members being that way. It is always a fun time. Don't give it another thought - just go dance.

I love Tap Fever because it has so many options to choose from. I've seen Malorie, one of the dance instructors, teach tap and ballet with young children and I like how she's so enthusiastic, playing Frozen songs along the dance routines and motivating the kids. Every time I come in, there's a group of moms happy to watch their children dance. The studio has got programs for all ages - and I think it's great that they really emphasize that by having accessible classes for people with any kind of disabilities, too. They also got hip hop, jazz and ballet classes and even fitness-dance classes like Cardio Tap, yoga, and Zumba. I'd recommend contacting Larisa since she's really knowledgeable and welcoming. It's so much fun doing these dance classes to try something new.

I am a "senior" tapper and have been tapping with Tap Fever studio for many years. The teachers are energetic and friendly. They are very aware of the level of the students in their classes and modify to meet the needs of each and every student. There are always options to reduce or increase the technique level. There are many options for classes both during the day and evening hours. I absolutely love Tap Fever Studio and Larisa the owner, has done a wonderful job in recruiting the best of the best. As their motto goes...anyone can dance and everyone should! Thank you Tap Fever!! Class is the best part of my day!!

I took a cardio tap class at Tap Fever in Feb 2023 and was immediately hooked! Since then I have been going to as many classes as I can! It has completely changed my life for the better. I came for the workout but ended up finding SO much more than that- a welcoming community, supportive teachers, lifelong friends, and my passion for dance has been re-ignited.
Larisa plans so many fun events to showcase our hard work. There is something for everyone! "Vaudeville Fever" cabaret shows, three recitals each year, holiday parades, performances on stage at Disneyland, Fringe Festival/ Taptastic shows, community events, and so much more.
There is never any pressure to participate in the recitals. However, if we end up in a class together I might try to pressure you into it because a lot of people end up discovering how much fun it is to perform on stage!
All of the teachers have their unique styles and their classes are all so much fun. I always leave feeling inspired and energized!
The unlimited package is a great option if you want to try a variety of tap and other styles of dance classes. I take ballet, tap (technique, broadway, and cardio tap), and sometimes drop in for jazz. $600 for a 16-week session and I took about 150 classes- what a deal! They also allow people to pay for one class at a time, or packages of 4+ classes to use throughout the session. Also you can rent tap shoes for just $3! I did that for my first class and then immediately went home and ordered a pair of my own since I could feel in my bones that this was going to become a big part of my life again (after taking 20 years off from dance).
I could go on about how much I love Tap Fever. Being part of this community has truly changed my life and I am so thankful to Larisa, Diane, Chantal, Chelsea, Andrea, and Britt for keeping the classes fun, challenging, and inspiring! You can tell you all pour your hearts and souls into teaching dance! I highly recommend Tap Fever to anyone of any age and any abilities! Teachers are all more than willing to work with you and offer modifications that you might find helpful. No worries if you have never put tap shoes before. My dad came to a cardio tap class and it was his first time wearing tap shoes. He did a great job and was smiling the whole time! The routines are easy to follow and over time it is cool watching yourself improve and be able to do steps you couldn't do before.
Thank you Larisa and all the staff at Tap Fever!!!

My son wanted to take a dance class, and I found this studio. They offered a free week so people could try out as many classes as they liked to see which ones they wanted to take. It was wonderful! My son got to try every style of dance they had, and pick the one he enjoyed most, which is so helpful for a first time dancer. The teachers are amazing and easy to talk to, and the owner is so helpful! I loved the studio so much, I tried some classes out myself, and signed up for some. (That Cardio Tap class really gets you sweating!)
I highly recommend this dance studio to anyone who may be looking for classes. My friend came with me to a class, and loved it so much she enrolled as well.
(The studio is much bigger now than the pictures show on their site btw, since they moved to a new location.)

I recently moved to San Diego from Southern Oregon where dance lessons for seniors were very limited or non-existent. Tap Fever has been a dream come true for me. For the past year, I have been tap dancing with a cohort of people my age who are all very kind and caring and who all share a love for tap dancing. The instructor and owner (Larissa) strives to ensure that everyone has fun; but she also provides new challenges and opportunities for us to learn and grow as tap dancers. I am also inspired by her commitment to ensure that dancing is accessible for people of all ages and all levels of ability. It is a joy and a thrill to be at Tap Fever Studios. And, being in class is the best part of my week.

This is a family type studio; small classes where you feel comfortable asking questions, you get answers, and actually learn. This is a non-profit organization, so you can feel good knowing that Tap Fever Studios helps the community by offering programs for dancers with disabilities, and dance scholarships. Dancers also have the opportunity to advance and join dance teams that perform in the community, and go to dance competitions. The best part is that you can tell the teachers really love teaching dance and really love their students.

I love love LOVE this studio! So big and spacious, and everyone there is so friendly! The owner is kind and helpful to everyone, JJ is so funny and easy going- I love taking his class, and Mariah is so skilled and lighthearted, the kids adore her! This is an amazing studio. They even offer a free week at the beginning of each session so you can try every class they offer and see which one(s) you want to take! I never thought I would be tap dancing, but the cardio tap class is a great workout and really fun! I'm also taking ballet with Mariah, and hip hop with JJ, and my son takes classes there too. I am so glad I found it!

My daughter has been taking classes from Tap Fever (Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap and Ballet) for almost a year and a half. Because of the wonderful instructors my daughter has fallen in love with Dance - THANK YOU! In that time my daughter has performed at recitals, competitions, senior homes and special events. At only her second competition she took First Place with a wonderful performance choreographed my Mariah (Instructor) and placed in her last three competitions. She has made great friends and the girls are so close you would think they are sisters. As a DANCE DAD I though I might feel awkward with all those Dance Moms here. But, that was not the story. Now, many of those Dance Moms are friends with both my wife and I. Thank you to all the staff at Tap Fever. You bring a smile from ear to ear on my daughters face.

I have been dancing with Tap Fever Studios for a month, and have only good things to say about them! I love that they offer classes in all dance styles: tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary, hip-hop AND fitness classes (cardio tap and dancer flow yoga). They are also all-inclusive, offering classes for everybody from 2 year olds, to seniors, to people with disabilities. The teachers at Tap Fever are very passionate about dancing, and just want to share that with everybody, regardless of age or ability. Speaking of the teachers, they are all fun, kind, and work hard to make the classes upbeat and engaging. I am taking the Adult Intermediate Tap class, and Larisa (the teacher and studio director) is very encouraging and pushes us to challenge ourselves in a fun and safe environment. Another class I have been taking that I love is the Cardio Tap class. These are offered multiple times per week, in both the daytime and evening, which is so great for those of us with busy schedules. If you are looking for a fun way to get some exercise, this is the class for you. It is structured like a Zumba class, with the teacher leading you through set dances to upbeat music. Though these classes definitely make me sweat, they are always filled with smiles, laughter, and a lot of great jamming out. Overall, Tap Fever is a well-run, supportive studio, and I would encourage anybody (regardless of previous dance experience) to take classes here.
