Racial Equity Statement
Tap Fever Studios Board of Directors and staff condemn the ill or unequal treatment of any person or group, especially those historically marginalized. We recognize that low-income communities, some communities of color, and disabled persons are most affected by environmental impacts. In order to contribute to a more sustainable and just world for all, we need to make a conscious effort to hear, and bolster people from the most vulnerable communities, ensuring that they too have opportunities to thrive. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core values of our organization, and we strive to remove barriers for all people across race, class, gender, geography, and other differences. As a diverse community organization, Tap Fever will set an example by being clear in our fair treatment, and acceptance of all people, while fully integrating equality into every aspect of our operations and programs. We will actively reach out to underserved communities, to provide attainable opportunities to experience the joys of dance. We believe that sharing dance with people of different backgrounds, and life perspectives makes for a more interesting and fulfilling experience. If we expect and believe, we can achieve.
